Why Kids Yoga?

Children today are bombarded with so much information from the media, electronic devices, teachers, friends and parents.  It is an overload that many children have a hard time processing.

 

Yoga helps children learn to focus and center themselves by learning breathing techniques, yoga poses and of course relaxation.  By starting young, children can learn coping mechanisms which will help them in school and at home for calming themselves and as they grow up, to energize their minds to prepare for tests and presentations without getting nervous or stressed out.

Current Classes

Private Kids classes available in YOUR home or other location.
Tiny Trees
Age 18 months - 5 years
Adult accompaniment
Children and their adults will take a trip through class using poses, music, dancing and movement to learn breathing techniques and yoga poses to help with strength, balance and confidence.
Yoga Starz
Age 6-12 years
Students learn poses and how they can help them both in school and sports, as well as their personal health.  Using breath work we discuss reducing stress/anxiety/nervousness as well as how to energize when feeling sluggish.  Games and music are utilized to make the class fun and memorable.
